Trio Busted For Delivering Large Amounts Of Drugs To Norwalk, Police Say

Three New York livery drivers were busted allegedly delivering large amounts of drugs to Fairfield County.

In Early December 2019, the Norwalk Police Special Services Division began receiving information about drivers delivering large quantities of Narcotics to the Norwalk area, said Norwalk Police Lt. Jared Zwickler. 

On Wednesday, Feb 26, officers arrested Miguel Nunez, 25, of Jamaica, Jimmy Salcedo, 25, of Babylon, and Wilber Lora-Espinal, 25 of New York City, in connection with the case, Zwickler said.

During the arrests, officers seized 10 Xanax bars, 13 bags of powder cocaine, 40 folds of pure fentanyl, 30, Oxycontin pills, and more than $3,000 in cash as well as a 2015 Ford Explorer with livery plates.

All three were charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance with intent to sell, failure to keep drugs in the original container, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, Zwickler said. 

Nunez and Lora-Espinal are being held on a $100,000 bond. Salcedo is being held on a $250,000 bond.
